Forest Fathers - Family Bushcraft

Forge Bonds. Build Skills. Create Memories

Step into the wild for an unforgettable day of bonding, learning, and adventure. Forest Fathers is a unique men-and-children-only bushcraft experience, designed to strengthen family connections while mastering essential survival skills.

Why Forest Fathers?

I created this event after noticing that many fathers, uncles, and grandfathers rarely got the opportunity to attend my regular Forest School sessions—or when they did, they often had to take a backseat. Forest Fathers is different. It’s a dedicated space where men can actively engage with their children, connect with other fathers, and embrace the great outdoors—together.

What to Expect

Guided by an experienced bushcraft instructor, you and your child (aged 7+) will take on exciting hands-on challenges, including:
🔥 Fire-building & safe campfire techniques
🏕️ Shelter construction & natural survival skills
🥘 Campfire cookery & outdoor food prep
🌿 Woodland games & teamwork activities

With everything provided, all you need to bring is your sense of adventure!

A Day of Connection & Discovery

In today’s fast-paced, screen-driven world, time spent outdoors is more valuable than ever. Forest Fathers is about more than just learning skills—it’s about sharing meaningful experiences, working together, and making memories that last a lifetime.

Held at the Wild Lives Forest School site Forest School site in Warley Woods, this session offers a small-group setting to ensure a high-quality, personal experience for every family.
