About
Wellbeing in the Woods is a project created by Sustainable Life Birmingham and funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. The project aims to provide bushcraft sessions for people in houses of multiple occupancy (HMO s) or in temporary/ emergency accommodation in the Stirchley area, to help build community and relationships between long term and short term residents and provide practical skills and knowledge to build confidence.
Sessions vary based on the number and needs of participants but typically involve the building of a cooking fire to provide hot drinks and a filling and nutritious midday meal, followed by practical skills development, site management or a relaxed chat around the fire.
