I first developed an interest in the MSR Elixir when I started working in an outdoor equipment shop, where we often had one of these on display. I was immediately struck by how large and open the design was and the quality of the materials. So when I was offered the opportunity to test one (in exchange for a video review), I leapt at the chance.
I tested that tent in the Brecon Beacons over two nights and was so taken with it, that I purchased one for myself once I got back. Since then it has been the workhorse of my hill camping kit and a companion across the country. Despite rigorous testing over a few years, my opinion of this tent has only grown and I can still wholeheartedly endorse it.
